My name is Erica Blyth and I offer psychotherapy for individuals and couples with CBT, Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy.
I can also offer supervision, family therapy or supportive talks.
I work in both Uppsala and Stockholm and can also offer video talks via a secure link recommended by Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare).
Cognitive behavioural therapy, CBT, has its origin in learning psychology and is evidence based. The research and theory formation comes from foremost learning psychology, cognitive psychology and social psychology.
CBT is usually described as a short term therapy and lasts between 10-20 sessions. As CBT places an emphasis on helping you as a client learn to be your own therapist you will work with exercises in the session as well as “homework” exercises outside of sessions. The work is usually very structured and the therapist makes sure you continue to work towards your goals and follow up your progress along the way. Towards the end of the therapy you will work out a plan how you will continue to work with your wellbeing after the sessions have ended and if needed regular booster sessions are booked.
